NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL P. I. 0009990 ROCKDALE COUNTY Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project. The date of location and design approval is: January 14, 2021 The project is approximately 0.41 miles long and includes pedestrian facilities and lighting. The project is located 9.7 miles north east of Stockbridge, GA. This area is entirely in Rockdale County, Land District 11. The proposed project is the construction of a single lane roundabout at SR 138/ Stockbridge Highway at East Fairview Road. The typical section of the roadway is two 12-foor lanes with rural shoulders. The proposed design speed is 50 mph on the approaches to the intersection and 25 mph within the roundabout. Construction is proposed to take place while maintaining current traffic conditions.
