Donald and Alice Bussey Curran celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2. They were married in Dallas, Ga. on June 2, 1953.

Donald is retired from General Motors and Phoenix Refrigeration. Alice was a cook and homemaker.

The couple has one child, Kenneth Curran and wife, Janet Thomason, of Oxford. Their grandchildren are: Sarah and husband, Cody Schaal of Sicily, Italy, and Jolene and husband, Matthew Smith, of Oxford. They have three great-grandchildren: Ethan Schaal, Gavin Schaal and Norah Schaal.

The couple celebrated over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays by taking a trip to visit their granddaughter, Sarah and her family, in Italy. During their trip, the couple was treated to olive picking in a olive grove, visited some of the local Sicilian families and toured the city of Taormina, which is noted for its Greek theater.
