Book signing Aug. 2 also school supply drive

CONYERS - Metro Atlanta author Andrew Snorton, who is coming off appearances at the Mississippi Book Festival, the Literary Festival of Charlotte, the African-American Authors’ Festival in Nashville, the Atlanta African-American Book Festival, along with signings in Baltimore, has an upcoming book signing in Conyers which will include a school supply drive.

His signing at Sudo Bar and Grill, 2270 Salem Road SE in Conyers, from 6:30=8:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 provides opportunities for professionals to network, support the author, and support the community. All are asked to bring school supplies for students and faculty in need, ranging from pencils, pens, composition books, hand sanitizer, dry-erase markers, and other classroom-related items.

His current release, “9 stories of faith: volume 1,” and his previous release, “Deeper than your deepest sleep: thoughts on love with Joseph Snorton,” are available for on-site purchase at the event. The newest release looks at themes on faith and spirituality through the lenses of 9 different interviews of people from different backgrounds (i.e. Christianity, Hindu, and Islam). Through their testimonies, they share what their biggest daily challenge is, as well as the means they use to not only manage them, but to live productive and meaningful lives.

“One of the main points is for all to understand we are all dealing with something,” Snorton noted. “Likewise, regardless of your faith ties and perspectives, there are universalities across different faiths. There are some commonalities, so even if you don’t fully subscribe to the principles of one or the other, there are some things you simply cannot deny.”

His previous release is a poetry-themed look at love through the lenses of family, friends, loved ones past and present, community, self-reflection, and more. Both books are available on Amazon, and multiple bookstores in the metro Atlanta area.
