Southeast Sealing receives STEP Award

Southeast Sealing Inc. was honored by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Georgia on June 12 with a Platinum Level Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award as well as the Georgia Safety Award of Excellence. The STEP awards recognize member companies that employ effective safety practices on their jobsites. This marks 25 consecutive years that Southeast Sealing Inc. has received safety awards from ABC.

STEP companies are up to 770 percent safer than non-STEP companies with total recordable incident rates as much as 87 percent lower. Georgia Safety Awards of Excellence are awarded to companies who have had no employee fatalities, with lost time and DART rates half the national average or less.

Southeast Sealing is located in Conyers and is a family business. It has been in operation for more than 45 years. Southeast Sealing works only on interior concrete floors. Their work involves the preparation and installation of concrete sealers, concrete densifiers, staining, polishing, epoxy and urethane coatings, and chemical resistant coatings. They also install engineered cement. They work on more than 10 million square feet of concrete each year. Southeast Sealing has completed projects in all 50 states, Canada, Republic of Panama, Puerto Rico, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
