30th annual Feed the Hungry provides 1,050 meals to Newton County citizens

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office, Newton County Board of Education, Newton County Ministers Union and Sellars Motors hosted their 30th annual Feed the Hungry event on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, serving 1,050 meals to local citizens. Sheriff Ezell Brown expressed his gratitude to everyone involved. “I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the contributors, coordinators and volunteers who took the time out of their very busy schedules to host and participate in the annual ‘Feed the Hungry’ Thanksgiving Day dinner this year. Because of your valuable service and time, this event was a total success.” In the photo, Sheriff Brown stands with some of the volunteers.
