What: Orienteering 101
When: Saturday, Jan. 15, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Hard Labor Creek State Park, 5 Hard Labor Creek Road, Rutledge
Using the skills we teach you and a compass that we provide, find and learn about the CCC historic buildings at the park. Program geared towards visitors 8 years and older. Wear closed-toe shoes, bring water, and insect repellent. Pre-registration and social distancing required.
To pre-register, please call the park office. We accept all credit/debit cards. Program limited to 12 participants.
Come visit Creekwater Alpaca Farm to pet and feed our alpacas in their pens. We are also home to bunnies, goats, sheep and guinea fowl. For more information, call 877-465-5181.

What: Mobile Food Pantry
When: Saturday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m. until noon
Where: Covington First United Methodist Church, 1113 Conyers St., Covington
Come receive produce from the Covington First UMC Food Pantry. The distribution is open to all — no residency requirement. Each vehicle may pick up food for up to three households. The church receives food from the Atlanta Community Food Bank — enough for 200 families. Please note that the food may be completely distributed before noon. The car line begins at 9 .m. on Church Street.
