CONYERS - The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office has yet to release a possible motive in the shooting deaths of three men at the Brandon Gleen Apartments on July 3.
According to RCSO Public Information Officer Micheal Meyers, deputies responded to a call of gunshots fired at the apartment complex about 11:45 p.m. While on the way, the call changed from gunshots fired to a person being shot.
Two deputies initially responding to the call parked their patrol cars out of sight of the building the shots allegedly came from. As they approached on foot and more deputies arrived, they found one black male shot and lying on the sidewalk in front of the building, and a second black male lying face down between two vehicles in the parking lot. He had also been shot.
A person in the apartment building yelled that there was a third man shot behind the apartments. Deputies located the third black male who had been shot lying behind the building. A fourth man was wounded and transported to a local hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Corey Simmons, Jonathan O’Rear and Kerrick Rose. The wounded person has not been identified and his or her condition is not known.
According to investigators, all of the people shot knew each other.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the assistance of the public in solving the case. Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office at 770-278-8000. All leads or information will be anonymous.

On Sunday, it was time for our clocks to "spring forward," lessening the night's sleep by one hour. While it may not seem too significant, Daylight Saving Time can definitely throw everyone for a loop. How do you handle it?
