Covington opens new disc golf course at Central Park

Covington City Council members, city staff and disc golf players gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week officially opening the new championship caliber Parker’s Pasture Disc Golf Course at Central Park. The park consists of 162 acres and sits between the East and West wards. Currently, in addition to the disc golf course, there are primitive hiking trails and a paved parking lot. In the next seven months, a Ranger Station, restrooms, playground and pavilion are scheduled to be built. The current park entrance can be accessed from Lunsford Circle and Pennington Street.
