Mike and Angela Leissa of Lake Wylie, S.C., formerly of Covington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Lauren Leissa of Covington, to Clayton Lee Johnson, son of Stan and Kelly Johnson of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John and Jacquelyn Crumpton of Lithonia, and the late Carl and Ruth Leissa of Orlando. She is a 2010 graduate of Newton High School. She is a 2013 graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed with the Newton County School System as a long-term substitute teacher.

The future groom is a 2011 graduate of Newton High School. He attended Point University. He is employed with Southeast Connections LLC as a foreman in Conyers.

The couple plans to wed June 6 at Gaither Plantation.
