CONYERS — For the 2019-20 school year, General Ray Davis Middle School students will collect different items for nonprofits in the community every month.

This month was the Great Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive. Children have been collecting peanut butter and jelly for Phoenix Pass and Rockdale Emergency Relief throughout the month of August.

GRDMS staff and administrators have finalized the following fundraisers for the school year:

August: Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive, all donated items will go to Phoenix Pass and Rockdale Emergency Relief/Food Pantry.

September: Socks and blankets for the Rockdale County Senior Center.

October: Cat food and dog food collection for Rockdale Animal Shelter.

November: On-the-Go Food Bags (bottled water, Vienna sausages, peanut butter crackers, apple sauce and granola bars) to support the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless.

January: Word finds and coloring books for the Rockdale County Senior Center.

February: Empty Bowls ticket sales combined with nonperishable food drive for Rockdale Emergency Relief.

March: Cat food and dog food collection for Rockdale Animal Shelter.

April: Mother’s Day Baskets for families at Phoenix Pass.
