St. Patrick’s Parade
World’s Fastest Growing St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place in Olde Town Conyers, 4:30 p.m. This is a two-block walking parade and everyone is encouraged to meet at the corner of Main and Center streets prior to 4:30 p.m. to join in this annual tradition. ‘All Over This Land’
“All Over This Land,” a play by Wade Marbaugh, will be presented March 15-17 by Being Human Players at the Black Box Theater. Ebenezer United Methodist Church will hold its annual BBQ and Bake Sale at 2533 Stanton Road S.E., Conyers. Meals may be picked up between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the front parking lot. Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
North Rockdale Baptist Church (NRBC) will host a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day brunch and worship service on Sunday, Mar. 17. Special guest will be Rev. Butch Davis, a retired captain with the DeKalb County Police Department. XYZ to Meet
XYZ (xtra years of zest) for persons 50 and above will meet at the First Baptist Church gym, Ga. Highway 138, Conyers, at 10:30 am. Entertainment will be The Snapping Shoals Quartet, a gospel singing group. Everyone is urged to attend. Chef Hugh Banks will be preparing a delicious meal of bacon wrapped honey mustard pork loin, parsley buttered potatoes, baby carrots and peas, assorted breads, tossed salad, tea, coffee and dessert at $8 per person. Lions Pancake Supper
The Oxford Lions wil host their annual pancake supper from 5-8 p.m. at Flint Hill Elementary School. All you can eat plain or blueberry pancakes, Holifield sausage, and drinks will be available. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Funds raised will be used for Flint Hill Elementary School and Lions Sight Services.
The DAR Conyers Chapter will meet a 3:30 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1275 Flat Shoals Road SE, Conyers. Rockdale Parks and Recreation Director Sue Sanders will be the speaker.
