CONYERS - Starting Tuesday morning, multiple streets in Olde Town Conyers will be occupied for the production of DC Entertainment's new series, “Doom Patrol.”

Daytime prepping on Aug. 27- 28 will begin at 7 a.m. and will end at 7 p.m. Electricians will be setting up cables, power boxes and other light equipment around Olde Town.

Thursday, Aug. 30, will feature a full day of filming with intermittent traffic control:

  • Filming will start at The Pointe Bar on Railroad Street at 6 a.m., and the street will not reopen until after 4 p.m.
  • Center Street will be used for production  from 7 am. to 7 p.m.
  • Warehouse Street will used for production from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

No road closures are scheduled at the conclusion to filming; however, Friday Aug. 31 will be used as a cleanup day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

No business hours or public parking will be affected by this project.

Produced by Berlanti Productions (known for “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “Green Lantern”) “Doom Patrol” will be featured on Warner Bros.’ new superhero exclusive streaming service, DC Universe.

“Doom Patrol” is based of the 1963 superhero team featuring Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane. This group of outcasts is often compared to Marvel’s “X-Men” franchise.

Other shows to be introduced include “Harley Quinn” and “Young Justice: Outsiders.”

DC Universe memberships can be pre-ordered for $8 a month or $75 a year at dcuniverse.com. Premiere dates for the show and the service have yet to released.
