Catharine "Cassie" Tiffany Mattox and Travis Carlson Hotchkiss were married Oct. 8 in Charleston, S.C.

The ceremony took place on the Great Lawn in front of the South Carolina Aquarium and the reception was held inside the aquarium.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Emily Mattox of San Antonio. She is a 2006 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she received a bachelor's degree in biology and a 2009 graduate of Wake Forest University, where she received a master's degree in biology. She will begin a new job at Chattanooga State Community College, where she will be teaching anatomy and physiology.The groom is the son of Donald and Darlene Hotchkiss of Conyers. He is a 2009 graduate of Georgia Tech, where he received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He is employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Christi Mattox, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Paige Martin, Megan White and Heather Fairfield served as bridesmaids. Katie Mader served as a junior bridesmaid.

Luke Hotchkiss, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Brad Mills, cousin of the groom, Dennis Kast and Vivek Reddy served as groomsmen. Austin Mader served as the ring bearer.

The couple resides in Ooltewah, Tenn., and enjoys spending time with their dog, Toby, cat, Eva, cooking, traveling and watching movies.
