“I do not know why people go after Shannon Black. She has every right to say what she thinks. What is wrong with you people?”

——

“Georgia Perimeter College has lost its Gateway Charter … Now half of the dual enrollment people are leaving. … This place is gone to the dogs. Don’t they say what’s going on or do they even care anymore about students?”

——

“It is sad how bad Georgia Perimeter College has become. This is a classic case of affirmative action gone bad. The employees are accountable to no one. They do not offer good customer service. They glare at you if you ask questions, like you don’t belong there. I am told that over and over the higher ups have been told all of this and they sit on their butts and do nothing. That is why you have half the students at the Covington location that you had seven years ago when you first opened. Everyone is leaving now and it is too late.”

“Richard Oden has a lot of nerve. I saw the televised meeting where he told Rockdale citizens that making a public comment was a privilege, not a right. That anyone who comments shouldn’t expect an answer. That questions shouldn’t be asked of the BOC. Implying overall that our ‘privilege’ of talking to His Highness may be taken away, if the whim strikes him. What nerve. What sheer freaking arrogance. Oden was elected, not royalty, but he seems to have forgotten. I guess with the overwhelming majority of voters too stupid in this county to know the difference, he feels he can do whatever he wants. And what he wants is to treat us taxpaying peons like dirt on his shoes.”

“Baltimore is proof that racism is not the problem. The mayor of Baltimore is black, the police chief is black, the police force is majority black, and still the city is being looted and burned, and the so-called ‘community organizers’ are blaming it on ‘systemic racism.’ Sorry, that doesn’t hold water anymore. Baltimore is not suffering from racism, it is suffering from a population that has no respect for education, morals or societal norms. It is suffering from gangs, crime and thug mentality. Black businesses are being looted and burned, black seniors will suffer from the lack of affordable housing, thanks to the arson that burned a newly constructed senior complex, black people’s cars are being stolen and burned. Baltimore is proof that there doesn’t need to be an excuse, only an opportunity for violence, and young black men will eagerly, willingly, gladly burn their own cities to the ground just for the heck of it.”

“A Baltimore rioter said, ‘I’ve been arrested properly, and I’ve been arrested improperly, and I shouldn’t be arrested improperly.’ No, man, you should (not) be doing things to get arrested. Why don’t you stop doing things that get you arrested in the first place, and then you don’t have to worry about being ‘arrested improperly!’”

“I just don’t understand why the churches believe they have a right to come banging on your door. I understand they need more people in their churches to bring in more revenue, but if I wanted to join your church I know where you are. Do you take into account that I have spent two hours trying to get a sick baby to sleep and you just rudely woke it back up? Do you take into account that my dog starts barking so the neighbors now have to listen to it? To the ladies that were in Kings Mountain on Tuesday 4/28, now I have to go out and buy no trespassing signs just to enjoy my property without you on it. It has to stop. There have to be laws against you soliciting where you are not wanted. I shouldn’t have to tell you to stay away when I didn’t invite you in the first place. Thank you and have a nice day.”

“Are there any other Conyers people who sit down to look at this paper and are disappointed to find that four out the five top stories are about Covington? It happens to me more and more these days.”

“Baltimore has been run by Democrats since the late 1960s. Pretty much every elected official there is Democrat. For 50 years they have been in charge and it gets worse every year. The secret that no one wants to admit is that Baltimore, and so many other urban areas and inner city communities in America, are the failure of liberal policies advanced by the Democrat party. The Democrat policies on social issues, education and basic governance do not work. But who do they blame? Definitely not themselves. And don’t get me started on Detroit or Chicago. It’s time we get educated about leadership and vote for good leaders.”

“I guess we know now why Oden needed a new vehicle. It’s so he could pal around with his buddies in the ACCG and drive to all of their little parties and show off his leather seats and GPS fancy navigation package to them in Houston County. Looka me, I got me a new shiny ride!”
