Mrs. Beatrice Blankenship of Conyers passed away quietly on Saturday, May 18, 2019, under the care of Abbey Hospice, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, J.B. Blankenship, parents, Robert and Vashti Atha and 6 siblings. Survivors include her daughters, Donna and Edmond Norton of Conyers, Patsy and Ron Holmes of Conyers; grandson, Craig and Megan Collins of Elmira, Oregon; and granddaughter, Daphne Norton and husband, Bud Johns of Watkinsville. Ms. Bea was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her two grandchildren. She enjoyed caring for her family, working in her yard and baking. She was known for the delicious chocolate cakes she made for her family, friends, holidays and church dinners. Ms. Bea resided at the Magnolia Assisted Living since 2009 where she was cared for by a very loving staff. Ms. Bea will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 20, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Chaplain Jim Ross officiating; interment will follow at East View Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
