Sarah Peck
Sarah Elizabeth Peck, age 72 of Conyers died Sunday, June 2, 2019, after an extended illness. She was born November 28, 1946 as the oldest daughter of Jess and Ocie Mae Williams from Beckley, WV. Sarah grew up in Beckley, WV where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. It was in Beckley that she met the love of her life, William Bill' Peck. They were married on May 31, 1969 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just two days prior to her passing. William's job transferred them to Conyers, GA in 1978, where they would live and raise their family. Both William and Sarah worked until retirement from Bellsouth. She was an information operator. Sarah was a faithful servant of God and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conyers. There she spent many days volunteering with the church's preschool department. Sarah was proceeded in death by her parents, Jess and Ocie Mae Williams. She is survived by her husband, William Peck; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Miranda Peck of Conyers, GA, Eric and Karen Peck of Bethel, AK; grandsons, Christopher Peck and Ryan Peck of Conyers, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Lou and Wendell Paugh of Sophia, WV; niece Jennifer and husband John Williams of Lenoir, NC. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Conyers with Dr. Dave Mapes and Pastor John Mark Oliver officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Conyers, 2100 Highway 138, Conyers, GA 30013, in memory of Sarah Peck.
