As we approach our 30th year of service in our community, we are excited to announce that we have a new name: Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale/Newton! Our programs support families in Rockdale and Newton counties and surrounding counties east of Atlanta. We have now partnered with Robin Jones and the Prevent Child Abuse Henry and are serving Stockbridge and McDonough with our evidence-based, in-home parenting programs.

Our First Steps Program was established five years ago at Piedmont Rockdale and by August 2018, we served more than 5,000 families with resources and referrals. We provide center and home-based parenting classes, which include The Nurturing Program, Triple P, Active Parenting and more. We will be introducing SafeCare to our community in October. We provide Darkness to Light, Mandated Reporting, Safe Sleep & Care Seat Safety Training to hospital and DFCS staff and throughout the community.

We are excited about our growth and expansion. With this growth, we have joined with other nonprofits to form Restoration Storehouse. Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale/Newton serves as a core partner with other proven and diverse service providers whose mission is to provide life-changing support for those in need. Restoration Storehouse Center bridges the gaps for those in need by providing connections to multiple resources in one place. We are moving our offices and will all be under one roof using one intake process.
