The proposed bond issue for a new $140 million courthouse is outrageous and overblown. I don’t think many of us wake up in the morning wishing we could have a fancy court complex.

This project, along with the trash project, demonstrates that the commissioners are willing to impoverish the many for the benefit of a few. All of us should definitely vote “no” on this bond issue.

Commission Chairman Oz Nesbitt wants to build for eternity. But I don’t want to finance it. We should fire these commissioners in the next election.
