Starting this month, parents and community members can use their smart phones to earn the same ten cents per participating product, donated to a school of their choice.


After reviewing guidelines provided by the Georgia Department of Education, the Newton County School System has identified four schools as potentially eligible to receive students whose parents wish to transfer their child under the provisions of House Bill 251.


Parents or guardians of any Newton County student who has received special education services in the district will continue to have the option of school selection via the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program.

This allows parents to transfer their student to any public, private or state institution where space is allowed.
