Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin may have landed the nation's No. 1 recruiting class on Wednesday, at least in terms of name recognition.

Terique Owens, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens, and Warren Sapp II, the son of Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp, signed with the Owls as preferred walk-ons, per ESPN.

Both players will reportedly spend "blueshirt" seasons in 2019, hoping to earn scholarships for the 2020 campaign.

Both play their fathers' positions. Owens is a 6-foot-3, 175-pound wideout from California's Contra Costa Community College. Sapp is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound defensive lineman who tallied 24 sacks last season at Foundation Academy in Winter Garden, Fla.

Owens told the website FAUOwlAccess.com he didn't know Sapp was going to be in his recruiting class, but that he believes their similar background will be beneficial.

"I think we can build up a bond off of that and grow as teammates and friends," Owens told the site. "That's exciting."
