After scoring 32 runs in last weekend’s Athens Regional, Georgia head coach Tony Baldwin brought a supremely confident, No. 14-seeded Georgia softball team down to Tallahassee this week for a primetime showdown under the lights of Joanne Graf Field.

Georgia and Florida State are both perennial powers in college softball. Thursday’s meeting between the Bulldogs and Seminoles was the 10th all-time meeting between the two clubs, and their first meeting in Super Regional play. Florida State and Georgia last met in the 2018 Women’s College World Series.
