Minnesota big man Daniel Oturu will skip his final two seasons of college basketball to declare for the 2020 NBA draft.

"Playing in the NBA has been a dream of mine since I was so young," Oturu wrote in a letter to fans posted Monday night.

He said he would hire an agent and begin the training process.

In his letter to fans, Oturu said he plans to hire an agent.

The 6-foot-10 Oturu, a Minnesota native, was second among Big Ten players in scoring (20.1) to Iowa All-American Luka Garza. He led the conference in rebounds (11.3), field-goal precentage (56.3 percent) and blocks (2.5).

ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony ranked Oturu at the No. 36 overall prospect.
