Through the first two weeks of the 2019 football season, Newton senior wide receiver, running back Jerrol Hines leads the Newton, Rockdale area with 312 yards of offense, 167 receiving and 145 rushing.

Hines scored two touchdowns against Alcovy in Week 1 and finished with 104 yards receiving and 21 yards rushing. In Week 2, Hines rushed for 124 yards to pair with 63 yards receiving on five catches. Hines’ three TDs is tied for the team lead.
