Two-time champion Phil Mickelson will have a new caddie at this week's Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Mickelson's brother Tim will not be on the bag as he takes time to recover from "lingering injuries," Tim Mickelson posted Wednesday on Twitter.

"With Phil's blessing and encouragement I'm taking this week off to rest and recover," Tim Mickelson tweeted. "... Gotta be healthy for the 'majors' stretch coming up soon."

Andrew Getson, Mickelson's teacher, will fill in as the bagman during the 120-player, $9.3 million event that begins Thursday.

Tim Mickelson has been caddying for his brother since replacing Jim "Bones" Mackay in 2017.
